I found the following information in the Penn sylvania Archives. 5th Series, Vol VII (p.148) while researching at the David Library of the American Revolution, at Washington Crossing, PA: Captain Holderbaum's Company of the Second Battalion of Lancastery County Militia. "Vallentine Boger" and Mathias Boger, Junr. are listed among the "third class" of the battalion. A Lucas Shaaly is listed among a different company of the same battalion, as a private. This roster was for 1781. None of these paid a fine to avoid active duty in 1781, although it appears as though none of their classes were called for active duty in 1781. Activities of the second battalion in 1781 included "guarding British prisoners of war held at Lancaster" (perhaps Prussians from the Battle of Trenton) and a "tour of duty" in Bucks County, PA.
