Bogardus/Bradford wedding, Geneva, Ill., 1878
Saint Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Review, Nov. 15, 1878: Geneva Items: Quite a sensation has been experienced through our social circles this week, by the marriage of Miss May Bogardus with Mr. Frederick Bradford, which occurred Tuesday, the Rev. W.J. O'Brien officiating. It was a quiet wedding none but the relatives and intimate friends of the parties being present. The presents were elegant and numerous. the bride was attired in a mastic silk trimmed with satin of a darker shade, and point applique lace, and garnitured with numerous natural flowers. The bridal party left on the afternoon train, for Wheeling, West Virginia. It is understood they are to give a reception on their return. (Posted as a courtesy, not related.)
