My ggrandmother, Meta Margaretha Bose, had an older brother (Hinrich Bose) b. 7/9/1849 and c. 7/22/1849 in Otterstedt. My ggm emigrated to NYC at age 17, from a nearby town of Ottersberg. She worked as a parlor maid to a wealthy NYC family upon arrival.
The city of Wagenfeld (see www.calle.com) is not too far away. I have no record concerning the fate of Hinrich. I have additional information if interested.
