My GGrandfather is listed on the 1870 and 1880 Federal Census of Washington Co, IL but I do not know when he came from Prussia. Does anyone have any Prussian BOES's in their familys? For years we have spelled the name BOAS but on both Censes reports it is BOES.I am confused! Can anyone shed some light on this problem. Would like very much to figur out more aboy Heinrich (Henry).
