I am trying to help a friend out in finding out where his Boe's came from in
Norway. My friend's name is Phil Boe. He has found them in the 1880 census
for Norweigans living in Minnesota and many other sources here in the USA,
but can not find a clue to where they came from in Norway.
His Great Great Great Grandfather was Ole Oleson Boe, married to Maria.
Their son was Hans O. Boe.
His Great Great Grandfather was Hans O. Boe born 1810/Feb and died
3/Aug/1887, married to Maren, had children by the names of Martin, Jenny,
Olava and Carl.
Martin Hanson Boe was his Great Grandfather born 1846/May and died
16/Oct/1903, married to Martha Pederson, had children by the names of Hans,
Jennie, Johanne, Maren, Helen and Minnie. Also had adopted daughter,
Josephina. 1895 census shows her as Josephina Olsen (Niece). 1900 census
shows Josephina as adopted.
Hans Martin Boe was his Grandfather born 3/Mar/1871 and died 21/May/1946,
married to Regina Stageberg. Had son named Manfred Boe.
Manfred Boe was his father and his mother was Evelyn Tomter.
