Christian my husband has Boerner's in his family. Johann Adam Boerner came from Hessen
Waussau, Germany. Date of birth is September
10, 1835. I do not have his parents names. He
emigrated to the USA from Bremen, Germany about March 14, 1854 on the ship Maryland. He was married to his first wife in Germany. Her name was Karolina born November 23, 1839. They had three children:
(1) Wilhelm born November 12, 1858, died May 10, 1863
(2) Johannes born November 9, 1860, died January 21, 1863
(3) Karolina born June 11, 1862, died August 8, 1863.
Johann Adam's first wife Karolina died June 17, 1863. Does any of this sound like your Boerner's. What happened in Germany in 1863?
Many thanks Marilyn
