I have no connection, but was just discussing with another inquirer, about the name spelling and pronunciation. My line is spelled Boerner, it is now pronounced "bow-er-ner" or maybe better "born-er", however, the older family members have told me that the name was originally pronounced "burner".
Just thought I would throw that in for your information. It seems as if the "Boerner" lines have a great mystery in their past and we're all looking for the missing connection or piece of information.
