Remi (Raime)was our Great-Grandfather. He is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in the Philadelphia area, nearby what is believed to be the last of his sons, Benjamin Joseph, our Grandfather. Remi did indeed fight in the Civil War, as a member of the Pennsylvania ???, which fought from Gettysburg down and through Virginia. He sired 12 children in all. Still looking for more information on him. Our family has one picture of Remi in uniform.
