Wayne Boerner (my uncle through marriage) was a brother of your grandfather, Earl. The other brothers were Glen, Vernon(Vern)and Ralph - who is the youngest and only surviving child of John Adam Boerner & Lena Roth Boerner.
Glen, Vern and Wayne are buried in the Odebolt, IA cemetery.
Their parents are also buried there, as are their grandparents: John Adam Boerner Sr. born about 1839/1840 & died Aug. 24,1896 at the age of 58 yrs. His wife, Maria Anna Sabilla Wiener- dau. of Sabastian Bartholomew Wiener & Elizabeth Gerhardt-was born 1836 & died Dec. 09,1919. (Maria had a bro. who settled somewhere in Minn. - possibly the reason her grandson,Earl - your grandfather - ended up in Minn. also.)
Lena Roth Boerner's parents were Christian Roth & Mary Engel B. 1850 D. Jan. 16, 1915. I have no dates yet for Christian, however both are buried in the Wall Lake, IA cem. Both Odebolt & Wall Lake are in Sac Co. Hope this is helpful. Greetings from my Aunt Miriam & cousin Laurel Boerner.
