May have another clue to the mystery... Phoebe Elizabeth Turner HODGES is a sister to Permilia Turner HORNER, mother of Zilpha HORNER, and she has a son, William Barton, born in Illinois March 10, 1831, no others in the family were born in Illinios.
A some what different scenario to the BOENS since they remained in Perry County till, at least 1840, and this HODGES family continues to Arkansas by 1833 when daughter Susannah was born. There are two other daughters b 1825-1830 that appear in the 1840 Franklin County, AR census..." 10 to 15 years, unknown where THEY were born. The older brother of William Barton, John T. was born in Tennessee 1828.
There must be an Illinois connection even if only the trail......of course if this is the case, why did the BOENS return to Perry County.....and the HODGES continue????
Hmmm.....
