This is the first update to the initial posting of 20 June 2007. One line has been confirmed through DNA testing and is included below. The results were based upon a Y-12 marker test and was a perfect match to the three lines already posted. An upgrade to a Y-25 marker test has been initiated.
All three Bodines are descended from Jean Bodine (1645-1707/8), of Staten Island, New York. The lines of descent run as follows:

John (1753-?) It has not yet been proven that he was the father of the next generation, though the relationship appears very likely.

In addition to the foregoing, a 5th participant descended from John Bodine (1741-1836) and his wife Ann Dilz/Diltz was shown to have no relationship to the above and very likely will be found to be a descendant of Jean Bodin/Bodine and his wife Maria Crocheron. The results of a 6th participant are pending.
