I know that I am a descendent of Jean Bodine of Staten Island.
My great grandmother used to visit the family gravesites there but I have no exact paper trail - just Abram Berdine/Bodine who died in New Brunswick, NJ in 1883/4 of spinal meningitis. I have a love letter he wrote to GGM before his death at age 30 or so. The family was supposed to be involved in paper manufacturing in Newark NJ. I just cannot link Abram backwards to Jean. I think a trip to the Dutch Reformed Church papers is in order but my sister and I had it planned for Sept 13, 01. Not a good day for flying into Newark. This is no help to you, but maybe you have a clue for me. Thanks! Margaret
