Jan 11 1810, in Burlington Co., NJ, James Bussom. Mary died Aug 21 1859. The name of her husband came from a query posted by Doris Semon on August 13, 1998 at www.genforum.com/Bodine/. The query seemed to match the information for Mary Bodine, the daughter of John Bodine and Ann Taylor. This is not definite, though. John Bodine was the owner of an inn for over forty years in Wading River. He was also a prosperous farmer and a large landowner. He enlisted as a private in the first regiment of Burlington County Militia and rose to the rank of captain in the Continental Army, serving throughout the Revolutionary War. (2) Jan 29 1755, in Middlesex Co., NJ, Rachel Wilson. Francis died Burlington Co., NJ, buried: Little Egg Harbor Township. He was born in Richmond County (Staten Island) and prior to 1745, settled at Cranbury, on the border of Middlesex County, New Jersey. He had 30 acres of land surveyed in Tranquility Swamp on November 1, 1775 on Wading River, Little Egg Harbor Township, Burlington County. This property was still in the possession of his children as late as 1820. He died in Burlington County, probably at his home in Tranquility Swamp, Little Egg Harbor Township. His first wife, Abigail, was the mother of all his children. He later married Rachael Wilson in Middlesex County Jan 29, 1755. His four known children were baptised at Christ Church, Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Most likely he was named for his maternal grandfather Francis Bridon. About 1717/1718, he married Maria Dey. He remained on Staten Island until at least 1736. (2) Jean Bodin, b. abt 1662, Bethune, France, d. 1745. Esther died Staten Island, NY. She was the executrix of the will of her father, Francis Bridon, and made an inventory of his estate on May 22, 1704 (ref: Huguenot Society of NJ). 18. James Dey m. Mary Mulliner, b. Staten Island.
