Jean, I have info on the John Bodie family.
John Mark Bodie, b.2april 1848 Pike Co. Al
died:30 Nov.1924 Laurel ,MS Buried at East View Cemetery Laurel Ms. (I have a picture of the tombstone)
married: 4 times: 1st wife Eleanor Barnett (1 son Watson) 2nd wife Nettie G. (3 children-Rosie, Will, Leila)
3rd wife Almarine McCarty-4 children-Nicie,Eunice,Nettie, Claude D.(my grandfather) Almarine B.17 Dec. 1845 D 24 Oct. 1915. Buried at East View Cemetery, Laurel Ms by John Mark Bodie. Almarine had a son by a previous marriage(Barry Watts)
4th wife-Dora. no children

John Mark Bodie's father is John Mitchell Bodie b. abt 1803 in SC died 1880 Wayne Co.. MS. married Sarah Fairchild abt 1824.They had 10 children.
John Mitchell Bodie's father is John Bodie married to Sallie Mitchell-1802
John's father is John Bodie B.1750 or 53 in NC married Hannah, I have lsited 6 children.
His father is John Bodie Born VA after 1710 died NC after 1772. married Elizabeth Hilliard.They had 2 sons: JOHN & WILLIAM BODDIE .
John's brother William Boddie married Mary Bennett. These are the NC ancestors and most of them remained in NC. They also kept the spelling Boddie, John became the SC ancestors & our direct line & they changed the spelling to BODIE.You may already have all of this. Let me know if this helps.
