Bockoven of NJ and Ohio

I am interested in Jacob Bockoven Capt. Rev War married to Elizabeth Whitenac. I have much info about the Bockovens after they moved to Ohio. I live about an hour from Delaware Ohio and have found a lot of info and gravesites there. I have not had any luck on Jacob or Elizabeth(her father was Richard)before his Rev War service. He is probably buried in NJ. Name has posibly been altered. Were the Bockovens Dutch? Does any one have any info or ideas of where to look. If anyone has any questions for me, I will try to find the information. I am researching at least three surnames out of Delaware Co. (Lewis,Scott,Adams) So I have alot to do.
