The Woffords were originally in MD, records to prove that. Most moved to VA, including my lines, then later some of the family moved to NC and some moved to SC (mine). They were some of the first white settlers in what is now Spartanburg, SC. Part of the Woffords in NC moved to GA as did part of the SC Woffords. After that, they spread westwards.
