My father, Rodney D. Bobbitt, was born in Linden, Texas in 1915. His parents were William White Bobbitt and Jimmie Bell Simmons who lived in the area around Cass and Marion
counties in East Texas. My dad's grandparents were John A Bobbitt and Mattie E Pyland. The Bobbitt and Pyland moved
to Texas between 1870 and 1879. They moved from Gibson
County, Tennessee where they were neighbors.

Any info out there about this branch of the Bobbitt and Pyland families would be appreciated
