Keith, glancing thru the messages, you seem to be a predominent contributor on the Bobbitts. I'm doing research on the Northeast U.S. area Macombers, and note that Edward Bobbitt's daughter, being Hannah Bobbitt, married John Macomber in the late 1600's. Hannah was born 9 Mar 1660. According to our records, Edward Bobbitt was an original settler in Taunton, MA, and took land in the South Purchase, now Berkley. He was killed by the Indians during the Indian War. Edward married Sarah Tarne on 7 Jul 1654. Now we have unsubstantiated information that William Macomber (1645-1711) of Marshfield, MA, and later Dartmouth, MA, was married to a Mary Bobbitt. We know their children were Elizabeth (1673- ), William, Thomas, Abiel, John, Ephraim, and Mary. So I"m looking for any possible information on the supposed Mary Bobbitt.
