Sandra, (or any helpful genealogist) I'm looking for information on The adoptive parents of Mary Jane Mott Bobbitt, William's wife. They were Stephen John Francis and Amelia Blair Francis who married in Belmont CO. Ohio 24 Sept. 1829. I'm trying to tie Amelia to the proper Blair/Blare family in Monroe Co./Belmont Co. Ohio in the 1820's. Stephen and Amelia adopted Mary in the 1850's as they had no known natural children. As both county courthouses (Monroe in OH and Wayne in IL) were "burnt" -- If your research has led to anything on these two it would be greatly appreciated. Death dates,(Stephen before 1880, Amelia after), burial locations, land or church records, anything at all. Thanks, Roger Pryor
