Green Berry Bobbit (1841-1917) and the Civil War

Green Berry Bobbitt was my great-great grandfather. I would like to hear from any of his desendants who know about his service in the Civil War. Part of his diary was published some years ago. I used to have a copy but have lost it. Also, wonder if any one might have a picture of him taken during that time. The earliest photo I have was taken in about 1900. He was married to Louisa Meece and they lived in Somerset Kentucky. I would love to chat about the Bobbits to anyone who wants to write. Thanks for you help.
