George R. Bobbitt (1839-1928) was born in Leake Co,MS to Roderick Robert Bobbitt (1812-1851) and Permelia Doke Koher who were married in Leake Co. MS on 20 Dec 1836 Lic#7 (I have a copy). I would like to know where George (called Random)grave is located. Roderick & Permelia Bobbitt are said to be the first Bobbitt to come to Texas about 1840/41 (not counted in Leake Co in 1840)and that their daughter Amanda was the first Bobbitt child bornin TX. Roderick died in San Augusrine Co. TX in 1851 and Permelia soon moved the family to the Conroe area in Montgomery Co. Roderick is buried in S/A Co buthis grave is lost and the location is unknown. Permelia (P. D.), daughters Mary and Amanda and their husbands and a child ae buried in the C. C. Everett plot of the Paletine City cem. in Anderson Co. TX. I would appreciate hearing from Ami. AFB.
