According to the BOBBITT book your Zachary Taylor BOBBITT was born 1849 in Kemper Co., Mississippi. He was the son of John Greer BOBBITT and Elizabeth (McELWAIN) BOBBITT.
John Greer BOBBITT in 1815 in Lancaster Distr., S.C. to Lemuel & Ellendar (GREER) BOBBITT. John Greer BOBBITT and Elizabeth (McELWAIN) were married 09 Feb 1832 in Montgomery Co., Alabama. They had 12 children:

John Greer Bobbitt died 24 July 1889 in Houston, Texas.
