Kudos for discovering the true identity of John William BOBBITT's wife!

I, too, was led to study the BOBBITTs, in my case because I am interested in both JONES and THOMPSON in Christian Co., KY.

I have scrounged through my sources and made a web page for your Dudley BRANNON based on what I've found and what you relate. I'm sure you will find it interesting. Among other things, it shows Dudley on the tax rolls of Christian Co., KY, from 1805 to 1823 (I only have records from 1804-1823). The address is:

It is not insignificant that Dudley owns land in the watershed of the Tradewater River, as that is where the BOBBITTs owned land. Ditto that both the BRANNONs and the BOBBITTs came from Spartanburg Co., SC. You will find their pages of interest, too:
