I would appreciate some of you good Bobbitt researchers getting me on the straight path. I have seen several times the mention of John Richard Bobbitt 1725-1791 and his wife as Amy Shearin. Is this correct? In John W. Bobbitt's of 1985, p 323-327 he states "there is no evidence or a marriage record for John Richard anfd Amy Sherin Bobbitt. there is evidence that Amy Bobbitt was an Alston before her marriage to John. Thank you.
