A few corrections to Donna's response per John Richard Bobbitt--my records indicate he was born in Colonial Edgecombe Co., NC (Warren Co. did not exist in 1725, the area became Granville Co. in 1746, Bute Co. in 1764, and Warren Co. in 1779). Obviously this means that his 1743 marriage also did not technically take place in Warren Co.
