I am descendant of Wiley J. Bobbitt born about 1810 in SC. He had four children by Rebecca Shaver? according to 1860 census Alabama, Montgomery Co. Children were Rebecca, James, Franklin, Ciseroe, and Thomas. Ciseroe was listed as being 6 years old. Wiley J. was listed as a carpenter. Wiley Js. father was William J. Bobbitt whom I believe is the William Bobbitt born in 1794, son of William Bobbitt born 1761 in Granville Co. NC (both listed in genealogy on this homepage).
