Bobb to South Carolina

Does anyone have any information about any person with the surname Bobb moving to South Carolina? I have traced my family back to William Bobb (wife's name Permilia). Both were listed in the 1850 census as residents of Newberry Co., SC. I am not certain, but I think William's father was a Francis Bobb. The first Bobb I have found in a SC census is a Francis Bobb in the 1810 census. The legibility wasn't great, but he seems to have in his household one male under 10yrs., and one male between 26-44 (I assume this is he). The females in the household are two between 10-15, and one female between 26-44 (his wife?).

If anyone can provide insight into the history of this family, or any prior location, I would appreciate the help.
