I don't have the information you are seeking but possibly something that might help. Hit a brick wall with Samuel Turner, born 1812 SC, arrived in TX in 1837, found in his household in 1850 was a Drury Anglin. Found Drury on 1830 Claiborne Parish, LA census and found Powhatten Boatwright listed on this census as well. Both Powhatten and Drury previously found in Hempstead Co, AR. Powhatten listed as a militia officer for AR territory. Drury was on delinquent taxpayer lists of 1826 for AR but had moved to LA. Drury was previously in TN, Stewart County War of 1812 veteran. What about Powhatten? Was he a War of 1812 veteran also? I suspect he was. Lots of men with ancestors who served in the revolution in VA moved to Hawkins/Grainger/White counties in TN prior to AR and then a lot of them end up in TX in the 1830's. Just was wondering if Powhatten was in the migration.
