Hi, Cousin! JOHN BOAST OF VA & AL was of English descent. However, I have been unable to find anything about the family before the time of JOHN BOAST, Sr. Several English people have posted their ancestry in the BOAST FAMILY FORUM, but they only go back to middle or early 1800's. So I have not yet found our immigrant ancestor and info about his origin in Eng. The posters in Suffolkshire, Eng., have the names John and Robert passed down from about 1795. When our John, Sr., lived in Petersburg, VA, there was a Robert living in next county, Surrey. I don't know what relation. Except, there were NO other Boasts in VA. Since you descend from my g-father, Ellsworth Burr Boust, which of his children (my aunts and uncles) do you descend through? My mother was the youngest child -- Martha (aka "Mattie") Boust Bussey.
I would love to hear from you.
