I have just read your message, and yes there does appear to be quite a few boast's still in england.
I am registered myself as the One-Name study for the Boast surname, so would be very interested in any info you can provide for my study.
My Grandmother's maiden name was Boast, and her family lived in and around Stradbroke, Suffolk. They were a very well known family name and they also link up with the Aldous name, another well known in that area.
If you go to the B.T website you will see from the current telephone listings there are still a lot of the Boast families about.I have yet still to contact them all myself.
