I have just seen your meesage and am writing to say my grandmother'e maiden name was boast, and I am currently conducting a one name study for the name, and am registered with the 'GOONS'. I would be grateful for any info you have on this name for my collection. My grandmother's family were born and bred in and around Stradbroke in Suffolk, England, and were indeed a very well known family name in that village.
Hope to hear from you soon.
jane
