Hello - I'm new to this forum..trying to do some genealogy research for my husband, Jerome S. Boak. His father, o Ulysses Grant Boak, II lived in Washington County, PA (Venice Twnshp.) o Ulyssess G. II was the youngest of 4 sons born to Ulysses G. Boak (of Rochester, PA)& Charlotte Bell(Toy)Boak: Roger Earl - b. June 1891 Gordon E. - b. June 1893 Clyde Jules - b. May 1896 Ulysses G. Boak II - b. May 1908 o His great-grandparents were Robert James Boak (of Rochester, PA) & grandmother, Rebecca Kittridge. Robert James Boak was a veteran of the Civil War & was in the oil business. (I got this information from an obituary) I'm confused because according to the Armstrong Co., PA Census of 1870, Robert James Boak married a Sarah Anna (Unknown). They had 2 male children: Grant, age 2 & Francis, age 7 months. Could this be the same Robert James Boak or were there 2 in PA at that time? Possibly he was married twice? If there is anyone out there who can help me fit this all together, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Notify Administrator about this message?
