Dave,
I am located in Denmark Western Australia,a nd have an interest in the BLURTON family.I have some data on a branch from Uttoxeter Staffs.i.e. a William who married Ann EVANS at Alton in 1783. I am having difficulty with a descendant Henry born around 1820 claimed by my now dead brother to have been the son of John, a son of William and Ann c in 1798 at Uttoxeter. I can find no reference to Henry's christening to confirm John as the father.John is an elusive individual. It appears he started the move of this particular branch to DERBY. He enlisted in the 15th. Hussars in Oct. 1815 at Nottingham. I suspect he travelled to the Goose fair, got drunk and took the King's shilling.
Is this of any interest to you and can you shed any light on Henry?
