Hi Jannette,
I have been researching my brother in law's family history and his Great Great Grandfather is the Gilbert Blundell you mention. Born 1819 Hesketh, Lancs.

My brother in law is John Blundell, who had his 80th birthday last week. His father was Wilfred and his grandfather another Gilbert born in 1867 in Tarleston, Hesketh Bank. He then moved with his family to farm at Rixton Moss near Manchester. Wilfred then moved to Yorkshire to farm at High Melton and his son John, my brother in law, moved to farm in Lincolnshire.

I hope this is helpful.
