Susan: Saw this old message posted by Paul - he and I are "cousins." The sister of his Elizabeth Mackey Sevier was Mahala Mackey, my g.g.grandmother. I'm trying to determine if there is a relationship between the Elias Mackey line and my Mackey line in TX. Elizabeth and Mahala's father, Thomas Mackey/McKey, arrived in TX in 1834 from Murphree's Valley, Blount Co., AL. There's a connection in Blount Co.,AL to the Elias Mackey line, which is why I think the families are related. Do you know from what Mackey line your husband descends?

Deven
