I should add that my great grandfather George Blumenschein apparently was willed a large inheritance from someone in Germany but did not go there from Yugoslavia and never received it. My grandmother Christine told her children that he would not have been allowed to take it out of Germany. This must have been sometime between the 1880's and 1910's. My real interest is in tracking back far enough to find my ancestors in Germany, which would probably start with the parents of my great, great grandparents George and Elizabeth (Share(sp?)) Blumenschein.
