Born Ventnor, Isle of Wight 26/12/1867 Registered simply as Henry Blumberg.
Died Southport, Lancashire 26/12/1932 - Major, Royal Army Medical Corp, LRCP, LRCS
Awarded the Croix de Guerre and Medaille de la Reconnaissance Francaise. Eldest son on Henry & Frances Mary (nee Evans) Blumberg who married Q3 1866 in Chepstow.
This info is taken from a gravestone in Duke Street Cemetery, Southport plus BMD records. Looks like he served in WW1 aged 47-51. Would be intrigued to learn more about him though I am no relation at all. Thanks.
