Hello Mark,
I will be traveling to Feldkirch, Austria and Lucern, Switzerland this summer. I would like to do some genealogy while there on the Blum/Weber/Von Stadlin families. It would be extremely helpful to me if you could send copies of any of the pictures you have (and the backs of the pictures, if there is writing on it). I would like to visit churches and cemeteries there. If you have any more specific information I should follow up on, please let me know. If there are any genealogy documents in German/French/etc, I will have a unique opportunity to get them translated.
I will be staying with a college friend and her husband. They are both FLUENT in German. My college friend is currently stationed in Germany (as a foreign service officer) and her husband is German. They are in a unique position to help me in this quest.
But I would need original source documents to search/interpret. If you could scan them, that would be great. The pictures I will have to get blown up - to see if there is anything in the background that might give a clue as to location. My e-mail is jaynes49@yahoo.com
