I am looking for information on the parents and ancestry of Gertrude Blum, born 1895 in Philadelphia. The youngest of 10 children (all born in the US, Gertrude was the second wife of Harry Jacobs of Philadelphia, mother of Irvin Jacobs.
All I know about Gertrude's family is that her father was born in Alsace and her mother was born in Prague. Her parent's met in Europe furing the Franco-prussian War (1870-1871) and because they were from opposing sides of this conflict, they emigrated to the US to marry.
I don't know any of her siblings names either.
Any info would be appreciated.
