Hi Lori,
How odd. It has been ages since I logged on and I find you have just posted this reply.

We may be related, but I am not sure if there is a match here.

An 1880 Census lists a Henry Blum living in New York with Mother, Henriette, no father . Mother from Alsace. This is very sketchy and may not evn be "my" Henry.
1900, 1910 and 1920 Census also list Henry as living in New Jersey.

AS far as I know, Henry never made it West of the Hudson.

Based on immigration doucments I found, Henry's brothers may have been named Balmenor, Moellon and Charles. The first two are incredibly cool names and I hope they are relatives, but I am skeptical

It may be that Henriette was the wife of Isaac and that they made it to California, but I have no evidence of that.

The Blums in Fresno were active in fraternal organizations, but that was very common in that period.

I am not sure if this helps and will gladly share more info. you can email me directly at psteinb@gmail.com if you like.

Let me know,

Paul
