Dear Lynn, thanks for your post. So far I have no further information regarding the names of Amelia and Herman. I do know the names of their sons though: Charles Henry Wesenberg (1875-1947) wed Jennie Lynn Blanton and had seven daughters and four sons. I have much on these descendants. Fritz Herman Wesenberg (1879-1909) no children, Paul Edward Wesenberg (1881-1947) married and had at least one son, and William Robert Wesenberg (1887-1957) wed Ellen Dolan, no children. These sons were all born in a town called America, Illinois, Pulaski Co. All four sons attended college, & three became medical doctors. It has been said that Amelia was Jewish. Charles Henry Wesenberg's sons' names were Herman John (named after both grandfathers it appears), Paul Edward, Harry Louis, and Charles Henry II. His daughters were Ada Adeline, Bertha Murdell, Margie Mae, Freda Marie, Daisy Lin, Josephine Jennel, and Edith Lenora. Do any of these names fit in with your records? I have that Herman and Amelia were born in Germany, were married in Chicago in 1873, and raised their family, died and were buried in southern Illinois, Pulaski Co. I'm interested in seeing if this family is related to the one you're researching.
