I am sort of going out on a limb here, and checking messages for any given names I have on my Bluhm's. Here is my post to the Bluhm forum earlier. Harry Donald Bluhm aka Nolan: b.10-22-1916, Detroit, MI; d.9-21-1983,San Diego, CA. His SS application has listed Father: Henry A. Bluhm, Mother: Jennie Nolan. Harry served WWII, Captain, Assistant Adjutant General, fluent in German. His military discharge papers show him as having 2 dependents. Sometime after discharge (Jan, 1946)he moved to Corpus Christi, TX and changed his last name to Nolan. He married my mother in 1953. He told her he had a daughter, born around 1945. Since my father is dead, I can only make assumptions as to why he changed his name. He may have wanted to get rid of a German last name after WW II. He also could have been trying to disappear from two dependents, a wife and their child. I would truly like to find Harry's Daughter, my sister, born about 1945. If you have any information or suggestions for searching please respond. I know it is a long shot. Thanks for writing,Debbie
