Mrs. A. N. BLOOM.
Mrs. Jeanette A. BLOOM, 74, wife of Amandus N. BLOOM, 1001 Packer Street, died suddenly Wednesday evening, Feb 13, 1952, while vacationing at Flagle Beach, Fla. She had been ill for only a few days.
Mrs. BLOOM was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Harlan C. Binghamton, NY; Paul K., this city; three daughters, Mrs. Harman S. WINGROVE and Mrs. Edward G. BYERS, this city; Mrs. Raymond L. Miller, Muncy RD 2; six grandchildren: one brother, Elmer STAHLNECKER, Geneva, NY; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth KUEMMERLE, this city; Mrs. Ellen BURTNETT, Landisburg; Mrs. Harry HIPPLE, Havre De Grace, Md., and Mrs. Elmer MOSER, Watsontown. "Gracie" passed away at Lourdes Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2005, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Ada (Moser) ROBBINS; a brother, Clifton; great-granddaughter, Gina Marie; and her husband of 68 years, Harlan (Dutch) BLOOM. Gracie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and Sam Parisi, Kirkwood, N.Y.; grandchildren, Tia and Randy Risor, Fayetteville, Ark., Ric and Ann Marie Parisi, Kirkwood, David and Maria Parisi, Harrisburg, N.C., Christopher Parisi, and Chris Hefner, Wilmington, Del.; great-grandchildren, Azure and Karenza Risor, David, Vincent, Francesca, and Dominick Parisi; brother-in-law, Paul K. BLOOM, Williamsport, Pa.; and sisters-in-law, Lelia WINGROVE, Williamsport, Pa., Dorothy ROBBINS, Cedar Falls, Iowa; also numerous nieces and nephews who absolutely adored her. The Bloom's managed and then owned the Home Dairy Cafeteria, and Embers Lounge at 56-58 Court Street in Binghamton from 1937 until 1973. Grace was a member of the Monday Afternoon Club, the Binghamton Country Club, and the New Covenant United Church of Christ in Williamsport, Pa. All who knew her will forever remember her charming ways and gentle manner. Mother was one the best cooks in the world, and anyone lucky enough to dine with her will remember her potato salad and corn pudding.
Family and friends are invited to call at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, N.Y. on Monday, January 31, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m., and on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Knight-Confer Funeral Home, Williamsport, Pa., where a Prayer Service will take place at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ray Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Pa.
