I need a detective. From a hand written note written prior to 1970, I have the folowing information:"Frederick Blum was born in Baden, Germany on July 17, 1818. He immigrated to the U.S.A. as a minor with his father about 1835. Frederick was a native of Baden and had allegiance to the Duke of Baden. After five years in the U.S. he was naturalized on July 29, 1840. The record of his vital statistics was not kept on file prior to September 27, 1906 in the St. Lewis office according to the letter received by one of his descendants in June 24, 1938. The letter was from the U.S. Department of Labor - Immigration and Naturalization Service, St. Lewis, Missouri. Frederick died July 27, 1866. Henriette Junqk was born November 17, 1824 at Unterhainida, near Leipzig, in Saxony. Her parents were Gotthilf Junqk (the son of Gottfried Junqk of Unternermark, born approximately June 1785, died March 11, 1851) and Cristiana Brueckner (born April 11, 1793, died May 18, 1812). Henriette died September 19, 1879. Fredrick and Henrieta were married August 30, 1849 and had seven children. Children were: Robert Fredrick, Edward F., Henrietta, Anna Maria (married James Admrial Nelson, 17 Jul 1884), Alwina, Stephen Douglas, and George Bejamin. They were all married. Frederick and Henriette moved from Perkin [maybe Pekin], Illinois to Wyandotte County, Kansas, in 1857 according to one account." Any connections here would be appreciated. Michael Waring The spelling for "Fredrick" could be "Frederick". The spelling for "Unterhainida" and "Junqk" are probably incorrect. "Baden" could be city, town, area, or partial name.
