I too do research on the Blount family of GA and am therefore familiar with the name Freeman Blount. In my research I did run across the fact that one of his daughters had married an AMBROSE as he was appointed guardian of her and a brother in Gwinnett county. Sorry, at this point I can't remember names nor a date, though it seems it was in the 1870s.
