Ted, John Blount, (Philip, John),was named in the latter's Will, 17 May 1801, RobCo,NC. as one of Exrs. His inheritance had already been settled upon him, so he rec'd. $1.00 in the Will to show good faith extended by his father. (Ref.: ROBESON CO., N.C. WILL BOOK 1, p. 697.) He m. bef. 1800 Emily Newberry; d. Lumberton, NC 23 Sep 1816. (Ref.: Deed of 6 Jul 1819;ROBESON CO.,N.C. DEED BOOK "T", P. 342, shows he was dead by date of deed.) There were other land records dating from 1799-1816, all being in the S. Ten-Mile Swamp & E. Saddletree Swamp areas. Tell me what you have thus far, up to the present, & I will see if I can then identify others on whom I might have information & just haven't placed. That will eliminate quite a bit of duplication, don't you think? Was good to hear from you and I shall be watching for further word. Regards, "Ban"
