There were a lot of Thomas BLOUNTs! The family seemed stuck on using only a few given names. To whom was your Thomas married? And what were his children's names? If he was "of Sodington," he was probably, as you suspect, in line to the illustrious Sir Walter and Sancha de Ayala. By the way, this entire pedigree is in the LDS Ancestral File. Caveat emptor and confirm. Higginson Books sells a packet of "Bount and Blunt Family Records" that includes a VERY bad photocopy of the pedigree chart from Helen M. Blount Prescott's 1902 book, "Blount and Blunt." The chart is a pedigree from Sigefried, the Dane (935-965), down to some American Blounts and Blunts. I have no idea how accurate this chart is, but I do have a copy, so if you tell me more about your Thomas, I can tell you whether he is on it. And if anyone knows where I can obtain a facsimile reprint of Helen Prescott's book, please let me know (it is not on Higginson's list, at least not the last time I looked).
