I know very little about the Blount family My g-g-g-grandmother was Sarah Blount, born 1771 in New Hampshire, married John Murray, 1792 in Clinton (Oneida Co) New York, died 1840 in Ohio. What do you think? Could she possibly be a daughter of your Jonathan and Mehitable, are you sure that Alanson was the only adult child??
