Though I've been unable to trace the lineage back beyond Leroy and Susannah, in the 1970's Iris Slavins Winkler kindly provided me a nearly one-inch thick double-spaced record of their descendants she had compiled with the help of Ethel Mangus Stevens (b.1892). Page 1 says that at least 3 of Leroy's and Susannah's 8 children, one of whom never married, were born in Virginia. Then the family moved to Clark Co. Kentucky where the others were born. Susannah evidentally died soon after that. Leroy died in 1852 and is buried within a few miles of my birthplace in Randolph County Missouri. I'm descended from his daughter Elizabeth (b. 1812). Perhaps the only of these descendants famous enough enough for you to recognize is the late General Omar Nelson Bradley who was born about a mile of the huge Hamilton Cemetery where I once read a carved wooded sign over the entrance that said, "Here lie pioneers, builders and dreamers."
