Art, from the dates of the marriages and the wills of Charles W. Blount and w2) Thankful Shields, I believe that the following children belong to Charles Blount and w1) :
Maria P. Blount, b. @ 1790-91
Charles Blount, Jr. b. 1794
Ann O. Blount, b. @ 1800
Mary [Hardenia] C. Blount b @ 1803
Elizabeth A. (Lucy) Blount, b. @ 1806-07

Children of Charles W. Blount & Thankful Shields were:
Margaret Finley Blount, b. @ 1811
Susan M. Blount b. @ 1809.

From my research to date, I can find no signs of Charles Blount m. Mary Waters Pettus after the will of her brother. I suspect that she died in 1807 & Charles remarried. All of the children of w1) left home as soon as possible.
